Williamson County Anti-Drug Coalition

Williamson County Anti-Drug Coalition
Description

The Williamson County Anti-Drug Coalition was established in the Fall of 2011. The Williamson County Health Council established substance misuse was a top issue the community wanted to focus on. We partnered with United Way to write and apply for our first grant, and they have been our fiscal agent and community partner since. We currently have grants to do primary prevention education on: all tobacco products, underage drinking, prescription drugs opioids and stimulants, and marijuana. We also hold a grant that is apart of the States Opioid Response to reduce the number of overdoses, by harm reduction education and Naloxone/Narcan training.
