Randall Brown, MD, PhD

Description

Randall Brown, MD, PhD, is a UW Health addiction medicine specialist and family medicine doctor. He's also a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Brown helps treat and prevent opioid, methamphetamine, alcohol and other substance-use disorders. He also treats skin infections, heart valve infections, HIV-related disorders and other drug use complications. Dr. Brown advocates for safe pain medication and care throughout treatment for traumatic injuries or illnesses. He prescribes addiction-managing medication and helps patients find supportive resources. He also advocates for better addiction-related community services and care.
